With Kim Fajardo running the PLDT offense, the High Speed Hitters moved closer to a qualifying-round berth after sweeping the Galeries Tower Highrisers in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
While scoring setters have become a growing trend in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference, Kim Fajardo continues to focus on what she does best — orchestrating the offense.
The veteran playmaker kept the PLDT High Speed Hitters running smoothly in their straight-sets win over the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17, on Tuesday at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.
Fajardo tallied 15 excellent sets as PLDT controlled the tempo of the match from start to finish.
The victory pushed the High Speed Hitters to a 6-1 record, now nearing a spot in the four-team qualifying round.
For Fajardo, the team’s recent run has been fueled not just by skills but also by a renewed sense of discipline and chemistry.
"Ako happy lang ako na yung mga skills kaya siya itraining, yung mga dapat gawin sa court," Fajardo said during the post-game press conference.
"Pero happy ako kasi as isa sa mga nasa loob, nafe-feel ko ‘yung discipline, ‘yung mga skills na 'di kaya ituro sa loob kundi ‘yung mga like communication, kung paano yung attitude sa loob."

With multiple scoring options around her, Fajardo admitted that distributing the ball to a deep PLDT roster has become a "good problem" to have.
"Good problem yun for me kasi lahat gusto pumatay, lahat gusto ng bola," she said.
"Sa akin lang is trust na lang din sa sarili ko sa decision making and trust sa mga kasama."
Savi Davison led PLDT’s scoring with 21 points and seven receptions in just three sets, while Mika Reyes anchored the net with four blocks to highlight her 10-point outing.
Alleiah Malaluan also provided an all-around effort with nine points, 14 receptions, and seven digs.
Despite the recent trend of setters becoming more aggressive scorers in the league, Fajardo said she remains focused on contributing in ways that best help the team.
"'Di naman ako necessarily na kailangan sumabay sa trend na yun basta gusto ko lang magcontribute sa team namin sa way na kaya ko."

Fajardo and the rest of the High Speed Hitters will look to seal their spot in the qualifying round when they face the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on Saturday, at the same venue.
