The Philippine Sportswriters Association Annual Awards Night transformed into a celebration of excellence and elegance, as the country’s finest athletes and sports leaders stepped onto the red carpet to honor a year of triumph.
The Philippine Sportswriters Association Annual Awards Night glittered with elegance as athletes, coaches, and executives traded their game-day gear for sharp formal wear in a celebration of excellence.
Leading the charge in a sleek monochromatic ivory ensemble was two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, who was honored as PSA Co-Athlete of the Year alongside Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala — fittingly, on his 26th birthday.

In a classic charcoal suit with a blue shirt and a shiny blue tie, Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao exuded timeless confidence as he received the President's Award during the Philippine Sportswriters’ Association Awards.

Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick ‘Pato’ Gregorio made a striking red-carpet appearance with his family in a cohesive palette of classic black and ivory, with Gregorio donning a delicately detailed traditional barong.

Keeping it minimalist in a black button-down shirt worn open at the collar for a relaxed yet confident vibe, San Miguel Beermen star June Mar Fajardo was awarded Mr. Basketball.

Dressed in a sleek all-black pantsuit, jiu-jitsu world champion Annie Ramirez kept her look polished and intentional as she received her Major Award recognition.

The beach volleyball standouts also stood out on the red carpet. After their breakthrough triumph at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, Alas Pilipinas Women’s Beach Volleyball Team — Bernadeth Pons, Sisi Rondina, Dij Rodriguez, and Sunny Villapando — also struck gold with a feminine barong and gowns in navy tones.

Truly Islay’in the night, 2025 SEA Games Muay Thai gold medalist Islay Bomogao stunned in an off-the-shoulder gown in a rich deep green shade.

Beyond the trophies and tailored silhouettes, the evening was a reminder that Philippine sports continues to flourish — not just in arenas, on courts, or on the sands, but in the stories of excellence that these athletes carry with them.
