The Creamline Cool Smashers look to carry their trademark consistency into the 2025 PVL Invitational Conference as they begin their title defense against the Cignal HD Spikers.
The Creamline Cool Smashers kick off their 2025 PVL Invitational Conference title defense with a familiar foe as they clash with the Cignal HD Spikers on Thursday, August 21, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The matchup sets the stage for a rematch of both the 2024 Invitational Finals and the recently concluded PVL on Tour bronze medal game, when the Cool Smashers stamped their class with a straight-set win, 25-17, 29-27, 25-17.
Creamline thus secured its 18th consecutive podium finish since joining the league in 2017.
Led by superstars Michele Gumabao, Alyssa Valdez, and Jema Galanza, the Cool Smashers continue to showcase depth and consistency, even as they missed the preseason Finals.

Gumabao powered Creamline with 21 points in their Tour podium win, while Galanza and Valdez added 13 and 12 markers, respectively.
Both Creamline and Cignal though will be starting from 0-1 records, as their PVL on Tour semifinal tally would be carried over to the Invitational Conference due to the tight schedule.
