Widely regarded as the "Greatest of All Time" (G.O.A.T.) in the world of billiards, Efren “Bata” Reyes displayed some of his signature trick shots during a guest appearance on Eat Bulaga.
For one afternoon, Eat Bulaga became a stage of wonder for Filipino billiards legend Efren “Bata” Reyes.
The legendary cue artist showcased some of his famous billiard tricks during a guest appearance on the country’s longest-running noontime variety and entertainment show on Tuesday, August 19.
Reyes was also on the show to promote his latest autobiography, The Magician: The Story of Efren “Bata” Reyes, written by fellow billiards player Marlon “Marvelous Captain” Manalo.
“[Itong libro ay] para magsilbing inspirasyon sa mga kabataan at sa lahat ng gustong matuto maglaro ng bilyar,” said the decorated 70-year-old legend.

He then proceeded to pull a few tricks out of his sleeve, including slotting a nine-ball where the cue ball didn’t directly hit the target ball but instead bounced off another ball to make the shot.
Reyes also demonstrated his signature ability to make the cue ball curl around other balls using spin, a technique known as the “massé shot.
Furthermore, the two-time world pool champion expressed his excitement for the Efren “Bata” Reyes Yalin 10-Ball Championship happening on August 27–30 in Mandaluyong City, which will bring together players from around the world to compete for 10-ball glory.
