With the arrival of import Michale Gilmore, Titan Ultra is now ready to lock horns in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
With the arrival of Titan Ultra's Michael Gilmore, the cast of imports is now complete for the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
New coach Rensy Bajar confirmed to One Sports that Gilmore joined the Giant Risers, less than two weeks before the mid-season tournament unfurls on March 11.
After going undrafted in the NBA in 2019, the 6-foot-10 Gilmore jumped from team to team in the NBA G League before he made his journey across Europe, making stops in Greece and Turkey, among others.
A member of Belgium’s national team, Gilmore last played in a minor league in China before finding himself on Philippine shores.
While every PBA team seemed to go for 7-footers, Bajar felt the athletic big is tailor-fit for the Giant Risers.
“Actually sa videos na nakita namin magandang fit sya sa amin,” Bajar told One Sports.
“Kasi he is athletic. At can run. Good defender and scorer as well.”
Titan Ultra starts the Commissioner’s Cup begins on March 11 against Terrafirma.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.
He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
