After a challenging end to their 2024 VNL season, Brazil are back to their dominant ways to start the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The world’s no. 2 team blasted Kenya in Pool B of Paris 2024, scoring a decisive 25-14, 25-23, 25-12 win Monday (Philippine time).

Nine players scored for Brazil for a nice all-around effort, led by Rosamaria Montibeller and Ana Carolina da Silva with 13 apiece.

Middle blocker Thaisa Menezes added 11 points built off four blocks, while team captain Gabi Guimares was good for eight points as an opening performance.

The victory has Brazil taking the early lead in Pool B. The Brazilians are also the first team to score a sweep in the early goings of the tournament.

Pamella Adhiambo Owino scored seven points to pace Kenya in the loss, while Leonida Kasaya added five markers.
