The Cignal HD Spikers opened their YAMO Volleyball Invitational stint on a high note, sweeping Nakhon Ratchasima College, 25-20, 25-21, 28-26, at MCC Hall, The Mall Korat in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on Friday, September 5.

Despite missing key players Owa Retamar, Steven Rotter, Louie Ramirez, and Vince Lorenzo, the HD Spikers still showed depth and composure.

New additions Vince Maglinao, Jayrack Dela Noche, and Van Tracy Prudenciado stepped up, while veterans JP Bugaoan and Wendell Miguel provided steady leadership.

Cignal leaned on strong serving and balanced scoring to take the first two sets, before holding off a determined collegiate squad's rally in a tense third set that stretched to 28-26.

The HD Spikers look to sustain their momentum when they face the Myanmar national team on Saturday, September 6.
