The first half is in the books, and the race for Final Four now hits into high gear.
After a thrilling opening round, the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament kicks off its second round of eliminations on Wednesday, Oct. 22, with two high-stakes matchups.
FEU eyes back-to-back wins when it takes on a struggling Ateneo squad in the curtain-raiser at 2:00 p.m. The Tamaraws ended the first round with a big win over UE, while the Blue Eagles enter the round with a three-game skid.
Meanwhille, defending champion UP looks to bounce back in the main game at 4:30 p.m., but the Fighting Maroons face a tough challenge against the surging NU Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs emerged as the team to beat after topping round 1 with a 6–1 record, while the UST Growling Tigers trail closely at 5–2.
The Fighting Maroons and Blue Eagles share third place with the DLSU Green Archers, all sporting identical 4–3 slates.
Adamson sits in sixth at 3–4, followed by the Tamaraws (2–5) and the winless UE Red Warriors (0–7).
