For Cignal HD Spikers’ Steven Rotter, love didn’t just happen — it grew, evolved, and strengthened through time.

The Spikers’ Turf standout made his biggest play yet, proposing to longtime partner Sophia after 11 years together.

Their story is one built on growth, patience, and choosing each other through every season of life — much like the discipline it takes to stay committed in the sport of volleyball.

Rotter shared the emotional milestone on Instagram, writing a heartfelt tribute that melted hearts across the volleyball community.

"On October 5, 2014 you became my girlfriend and made me the happiest guy. Over the years we have met so many different versions of ourselves and have fallen in love with each and every one,” he wrote.

"You’re my best friend and my rock, and since the beginning I knew you were the one I wanted to spend forever with. I am so lucky that 11 years later I finally get to call you my fiancée 💍??."

Sophia marked the engagement in her own way. She shared an Instagram reel captioned “💛💍 baby I’m yours,” capturing the joy of their newly engaged chapter.

On her feed, you can also see old photos and videos dating back to their early days — even their 2014 homecoming — small snapshots that quietly tell the story of two people who grew together through time.

Their journey resonates with anyone who’s learned that love isn’t just about spark, but about evolution — embracing change, supporting each other’s growth, and finding new reasons to stay through every version of life.

Congratulations, Steven and Sophia!
