Despite coming on as a substitute, Eya Laure made sure to be the one to close the lights on the Nxled Chameleons.

Laure scored six of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans’ last nine points to seal a four-set victory against the Chameleons, 27-25, 28-26, 16-25, 25-19, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday, March 3, at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.

Her late surge backed the efforts of Sisi Rondina, who had 24 points, and Kat Tolentino, who added 15, as the Flying Titans scored back-to-back wins for a 3-3 record.

"Ready lang talaga kung ano 'yung dapat kong punan and kung ano 'yung matutulong ko pa sa team, lalo na sa mga dulo," Laure said during the post-game press conference.

With Nxled ahead 17-16 in the fourth set, Laure singlehandedly pushed Choco Mucho ahead and all the way to match point, where Rondina then closed out things out with a cross-court kill.

Laure later shared a light moment she had with Rondina in the closing stretch as she tried to shake off lapses.

"Lalo na si ate Sisi, sabi ko, 'Te, kurotin mo na ko.' Hinampas niya ko. Sabi ko ang sakit," the former UST standout said with a laugh. "Pero effective naman siya."

Still recovering from an abdominal injury, Laure admitted that coming off the bench has required adjustments.

"Kailangan ko lang talaga ng momentum sa sarili," she said. "Hindi naman sa hindi ako sanay na galing sa labas, pero parang bago ulit sa feeling. Ang dami kong nakikita pagpasok ko."

Laure added that adrenaline helped her sustain the finishing run.

"Parang adrenaline na lang din na tuloy-tuloy 'yung points na 'yun, kailangan tuloy-tuloy hanggang dulo."

For Nxled, Brooke Van Sickle tallied 20 points and 18 excellent receptions, while MJ Phillips chipped in 13. However, the Chameleons slumped to their third straight loss and a 3-3 record.
