FEU has set the early pace in the tournament, rolling to four consecutive victories to stand alone atop the team standings at 4-0.

The Tamaraws are coming off a 25-14, 25-21, 25-21 sweep of Adamson, with setter Ariel Cacao directing traffic and finishing with 20 excellent sets.

Ateneo, though, presents a tougher challenge.

The Blue Eagles look to continue the winning momentum from their hard-fought 25-22, 25-18, 20-25, 20-25, 15-13 escape against the La Salle Green Spikers.

Amil Pacinio led Ateneo with 18 points, Jian Salarzon added 17 and reigning MVP Ken Batas contributed 16 as the Blue Eagles showcased their firepower.

In the opening match, the Bulldogs aim to strengthen its position near the top of the standings.

National U swept past the UP Fighting Maroons in their last outing via a 28-26, 25-23, 25-20 to notch their third win in the four outings.

Currently tied with the UST Golden Spikers at 3-1, a victory over the Red Warriors would give the Bulldogs sole possession of second place as the Sampaloc-based squad pursues a sixth consecutive championship.

UE, meanwhile, seeks to rebound after a 25-18, 25-22, 25-22 loss to UST in their last outing.
