After seven months with the Farm Fresh Foxies, head coach Alessandro Lodi looked back on his PVL experience with gratitude, pride, and appreciation for the bonds formed during his time in the Philippines.

Lodi described his coaching journey in the PVL as one-of-a-kind, shaped by the league’s unique setup and the environment that grew around the team.

“Pretty unique. The fact of having all teams and most games in one city creates a special environment. It feels like being among friends the whole time. This is something I will definitely remember,” he told One Sports.

“The second aspect is certainly the relationships and the bond we had inside the team. I love those people more than words can express.”

Proud of Farm Fresh’s growth

Under Lodi, Farm Fresh posted its best PVL campaign yet, highlighted by a 7–1 finish in the Reinforced Conference preliminaries.

This was a run few expected heading into the tournament.

“My players and my staff, meaning those who worked together every day for 7 months, know how much work was put in and what amazing development we had,” the Italian tactician said.

“Just a few weeks before the Reinforced Conference, not even the most optimistic of us would have believed someone predicting a 7-2 [tournament] record,” he added.

Despite a disappointing quarterfinal exit, Lodi highlighted the Foxies’ improvement and their ability to push through challenges throughout the season.

“I am proud of how everyone did their job regardless of the outside noise and of how they grew as people, not only as volleyball players.”

Following Lodi’s exit, the Foxies are expected to find their new head coach in the coming weeks as they prepare for the next PVL conference come January 2026.
