Who would’ve thought a casual day of thrift shopping would turn into a love story fit for the main event?

For Isabella Revilla and WWE superstar Stephen Farrelly—better known around the world as Sheamus—it all began not inside the ring, but in the most unexpected of places: a flea market.

In an exclusive interview with One Sports, Isabella looked back on the humble beginnings of their relationship—one that started among vintage finds and antique treasures.

“It’s a long story, but we met at a flea market,” she recalled.

“We both love thrifting and antique shopping, and every time we go now, it feels like a little callback to where it all started.”

From secondhand gems to a first-class love story, the couple has remained refreshingly grounded despite Sheamus’ global fame as a four-time WWE world champion.

The bright side of being Mrs. WWE

Marrying such a recognizable WWE superstar comes with its own spotlight, but for Isabella, the most meaningful part isn’t the fame—it’s the impact.

“One of the biggest positives is seeing how much my husband’s work has meant to people,” she said.

“Fans will come up and share how he was part of their childhood or how his YouTube channel inspired them to start working out. Knowing he’s had that kind of positive impact in so many people’s lives is really meaningful.”

For Isabella, it’s more than just championships or viral moments—it’s about legacy and connection.

When the spotlight gets too bright

Of course, life with a WWE superstar isn’t always smooth sailing.

In places like Jersey City, where wrestling fans are everywhere, even a simple commute can turn into a fan encounter.

“It can be overwhelming for me at times,” Revilla said.

“Especially in Jersey City, it’s a very densely populated city with a lot of wrestling fans — whenever he gets noticed on the bus or the train, occasionally I do have to step in when things get a bit crowded. That’s rare, but it happens.“

Still, Isabella takes it all in stride. It’s just part of the game.

“I am very aware and can be protective of his privacy and comfort. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons.”

More than just “Sheamus’ wife”

Big events, bright lights, roaring crowds—and then a quiet return home.

For Isabella, staying grounded is intentional.

“What keeps me grounded is my family. Especially after going to big events with my husband, going back to their home in Jersey City reminds me of who I truly am and where I come from,” she said.

“I’m often seen as ‘Sheamus’ wife,’ but my family and friends constantly remind me that I’m more than that — and they keep me humble, too.”

Behind the scenes, Isabella not just a ringside presence for Sheamus—she’s a partner in every sense of the word.

Support beyond the squared circle

Isabella admits she once thought support meant just meal prepping and gym sessions.

But Sheamus showed her it runs deeper than that.

“I used to think supporting him meant practical things — eating well, working out together but he’s helped me realize it’s much more than that. He often tells me that I help him mentally switch off from wrestling.”

And sometimes, being the steady voice reminding a world champion to unplug is just as important as any training regimen.

“I try to remind him that there’s a whole life outside of work,” she said, as it’s no secret that the WWE schedule is punishing.

“I encourage him to do things and have hobbies outside of wrestling and working out.”

Love beyond the ring

When the ring lights dim, they trade body slams for Broadway nights. During down times, Isabella and Sheamus trade the championship belts for golden-hour strolls in New York City.

“We travel together, explore New York City, go to Broadway shows, try new restaurants, and volunteer and donate to animal shelters together. Filling your cup outside of your job — whatever that job may be — is so important.”

From flea markets to arenas, Isabella and Sheamus’ story proves that sometimes, the best finds aren’t antiques—they’re the ones you least expect to stumble upon.
