Savi Davison didn’t miss a beat in her first game back as a PLDT starter—and she knows exactly why.

The explosive Fil-Canadian spiker tallied 28 points to lift the High Speed Hitters past the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25–21, 25–21, 25–19, in the PVL on Tour quarterfinals on Thursday, August 7, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

For Davison, her adjustment was less about systems and more about the seamless chemistry she re-entered.

“Not much has changed, like I said. The girls have made it more than a welcoming environment for me to come back to,” Davison said during the post-game press conference.

“The adjustments that I have to make are personal and not so much team-wide.”

Before coming back during the Cebu leg, Davison had been in Canada to get some much-deserved rest and time with her family.

While away, PLDT leaned on the likes of Kiesha Bedonia and Jovie Prado to put up points on the board, which, for Davison, should not come as a surprise.

“I mean, I see it every day in practice. Coming from the draft, we're just waiting on Alleiah on the outside, so there's not much of an addition there,” she explained. “But Keisha and Jovy, I've said this before, but they gave me a hard time in practice as well.

“I'm not surprised they were able to put up points while I was away.”
