Typhoon Uwan is expected to batter Luzon, prompting the PBA to reschedule its Season 50 Philippine Cup double-header set Sunday, Nov. 9.
The PBA is postponing its double-header matches in the Season 50 Philippine Cup set Sunday, Nov. 9, due to Typhoon Uwan.
Typhoon Uwan is expected to make landfall over the southern portion of Isabela or the northern portion of Aurora Sunday evening (Nov. 9) or early morning of Monday (Nov. 10), according to the 11 a.m. update of PAGASA Saturday, Nov. 8.
It may reach super typhoon category Saturday evening or by Sunday.

Thus, the league deemed it prudent to reschedule the games, which were supposed to be held at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal, for everyone’s safety.
“In light of the incoming Super Typhoon Uwan, and with the safety of our fans, players, officials and staff as our top priority, the PBA has decided to postpone its Sunday, November 9 games,” the league said in a statement distributed to the members of the press Saturday, Nov. 8.
That means the TNT-Magnolia and Ginebra-Titan Ultra matches will be set for a later date.
