Rain or Shine made surprise picks in the first round of the PBA Season 50 Draft as the Elasto Painters picked up Christian Manaytay and Jun Roque.
Rain or Shine didn’t exactly go for the most prominent names in the first round of the PBA Season 50 Draft Sunday, September 7.
This as the Elasto Painters tabbed Christian Manaytay and Jun Roque with the tenth and 12th overall picks at the Mall of Asia Music Hall.
But they will have to wait a little longer before seeing the two in practice.

According to coach Yeng Guiao, Roque will still have to suit up for Letran this NCAA season while Manaytay has a live contract with Nueva Ecija in the MPBL.
“They’re still committed to their teams right now,” said coach Yeng Guiao.
“So we will wait until they’re free from their contracts or from their commitments. Tsaka natin siguro makikita sa practice.”
Guiao, however, is encouraging them to show up in practice time to time to get acclimatized with the team before they formally join the team at the end of their commitments.
