Armand “Mondo” Duplantis did it again.

Competing in front of a home crowd at a meet that bears his name, the Swedish pole vault superstar soared to another world record after clearing 6.31 meters to win the Mondo Classic in Uppsala.

It marked the 15th time the world no.1 pole vaulter has broken the pole vault world record — a remarkable run of dominance that continues to push the limits of the sport.

The two-time Olympic champion needed just one attempt to clear the historic height, adding another centimeter to the mark he set while winning the World Athletics Championships crown in Tokyo last year.

Duplantis opened at 5.65 meters, then cleared 5.90m and 6.08m on his first attempts, leaving only Norway’s Sondre Guttormsen still in contention.

Guttormsen — the 2023 European indoor champion — cleared 6.00m but failed at 6.08m, eventually settling for second place as Zachery Bradford of the United States completed the podium finishers.

Duplantis is the reigning two-time Olympic gold medalist and is a and three outdoor world titles as he is scheduled to compete next week at the World Indoor Championships in Poland, where he will seek a fourth consecutive crown.

The Swedish star first broke the pole vault world record in 2020 and has since improved the mark by one centimeter each time.
