The Meralco Bolts continued to search for their first win of the 2025-26 EASL season, falling to the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots, 82–72, on Sunday at the Taoyuan Arena.

The Bolts struggled offensively for most of the contest, managing just 47 points through three quarters and shooting only 34 percent from the field.

A late fourth-quarter push wasn’t enough to turn things around as the home team maintained control to improve to 2-0 in Group B, while Meralco slipped to 0-2.

Ismael Romero once again anchored Meralco with 26 points and 17 rebounds, while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson filled the stat sheet with 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks, but went just 6-of-25 from the floor.

No local player reached double figures for the Bolts.

For the Pilots, Will Artino led the way with 20 points, while Alec Brown and Lu Chun-Hsiang added 18 and 14 points, respectively.

Meralco will try to regroup when the Bolts host the Pilots on November 8, aiming to finally get on the board in the regional competition.
