Olympian Levi Jung-Ruivivar, who began her gymnastics journey before she was even 18 months old, has come full circle—now using her platform to uplift the next wave of Filipina athletes.

Levi, who made history in 2024 alongside Aleah Finnegan and Emma Malabuyo as the first Filipina artistic gymnasts to compete in the Olympics after a 60-year drought, led a special clinic at the PGAA S.TY Gym in Carmona, Cavite.

The event gave young gymnasts a rare opportunity to learn from one of the trailblazers who brought Philippine gymnastics back onto the world stage.

“Every interaction I had I see how passionate they are at the sport,” Levi said. “All of them are very passionate about giving back to and hoping to develop Philippine gymnastics and like going forward.”

Throughout the day, Levi guided the athletes through drills, answered their questions, and gave coaching insights—while also making sure the clinic had room for softness and joy, not just intensity.

“Through that experience, allow them to express themselves and be at that high level that feels right to them,” she shared. “It’s intense and all but also makes space for it to be fun and enjoyable.”

She capped the clinic with games, a short dance session, and a presentation over lunch, where she spoke on confidence and self-expression—values she believes are just as important as skills.

“Since they are young girls, I plan on making them more confident,” she said. “I’m an approachable person who can come to me if they have questions.”

With her own journey beginning at such a young age, Levi used the clinic to highlight both the toughness and softness of gymnastics, encouraging the girls to grow with confidence.
