Team Liquid PH are out of the M7 World Championship following a closs loss to Alter Ego in the upper bracket semifinals.
After a rollercoaster journey, Team Liquid PH’s M7 World Championship campaign has come to an end.
Playing in their third straight win-or-go-home match, the multi-time MPL Philippines champions fell to Indonesia’s Alter Ego in a heart-stopping 3-2 lower bracket semifinal on Saturday, January 24.
Despite holding a 2-1 series advantage, the Cavalry couldn’t close things out and their dream of completing the rare “Golden Road” was dashed in dramatic fashion.
With TLPH out of contention, Aurora Gaming PH now stand as the Philippines’ last hope in the tournament, having already secured a spot in the M7 Grand Finals.
Alter Ego will now face the Selangor Red Giants in the lower bracket finale, with the winner earning the right to challenge Aurora Gaming PH for the championship.
