Honor of Kings is set to introduce its first Filipino hero with the arrival of Lapulapu in the popular MOBA game.
Move over, global heroes—Lapulapu has officially arrived.
Honor of Kings will introduce its first-ever Filipino hero to the international edition starting Friday, November 21, bringing the legendary local warrior into the MOBA universe.
Lapulapu enters the battlefield as a tank-support hero built for survivability, crowd control, and mobility.
He wields a Kampilan sword powered by a vortex energy core and a Kalasag shield featuring the mythical sea serpent Bakunawa, while his red-accented armor draws from 14th–15th century Visayan patterns.
“Lapulapu reflects our ongoing effort to learn from and celebrate local cultures within Honor of Kings,” said Benji Dalmacio, Senior Business Development Manager of Level Infinite Philippines.
He added: “By drawing from the Philippines’ rich history and mythology, we hope to create heroes that resonate deeply with players.”
The launch is part of Honor of Kings’ broader initiative to highlight local history and culture while expanding its roster of international heroes.

From November 21–27, players can participate in a special launch event to earn Lapu Coins through logging in, playing matches, or using new heroes, then exchange them to unlock Lapu-Lapu.
