The FEU Tamaraws look to extend their winning streak to three games, but standing in their way are the defending champions UP Fighting Maroons in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Sunday, October 26, at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion .

The Tamaraws are riding high after back-to-back victories, the latest a 75-68 triumph over Ateneo to send the Blue Eagles reeling to a fourth-straight loss.

Jorick Bautista led the charge with 20 points, including two clutch three-pointers that sealed the game — a contest marked by 17 lead changes and seven deadlocks.

Backcourt partner Janrey Pasaol continued his stellar form with his second straight double-double performance, tallying 15 points and 13 assists.

Furthermore, rookie Kirby Mongcopa nearly notched one of his own with 16 markers and nine boards. 

Now at 3-5, FEU still sits in seventh place but is beginning to build momentum as the second round unfolds.

The Tamaraws will now also look to avenge their narrow 69-66 defeat to UP in the first round.
