The Adamson Soaring Falcons aim to make an early statement as they face the DLSU Green Archers in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

Adamson enters the season with hopes of establishing itself as a contender, leaning on the experience and leadership of Matthew Montebon and AJ Fransman.

The duo is expected to anchor the Falcons’ charge as they look to build on their Final Four finish from last year and push deeper into the playoff picture this season.

Their opening assignment is no easy task against a La Salle squad out for redemption after finishing as runner-up last year.

The Green Archers are moving forward without two-time MVP Kevin Quiambao, but will showcase a revamped lineup led by transferees Jacob Cortez, Mason Amos, and Kean Baclaan, with co-captains Mike Phillips and Earl Abadam providing stability.

The Falcons will also be seeking revenge after falling to La Salle, 70-55, in last year’s semifinals.

With momentum and pride on the line, Adamson hopes to flip the script this time and open the season with a signature win over one of the league’s perennial contenders.
