The DLSU Green Archers begin their UAAP Season 88 campaign with redemption in mind as they face the Adamson Soaring Falcons on Saturday, Sept. 20.

The game is set for 4:30 p.m. at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

After finishing as runner-up last season following a hard-fought three-game Finals against UP, La Salle is determined to return to the championship stage despite the departure of star Kevin Quiambao.

The Archers will now lean on a fresh crop of transferees in Jacob Cortez, Mason Amos, and Kean Baclaan, while co-captain Mike Phillips anchors the frontcourt alongside Earl Abadam.

Their opening challenge comes in the form of Adamson, a team eager to stake its claim as an early contender.

With the added experience of Matthew Montebon and AJ Fransman, the Falcons hope to build on last year’s Final Four finish and test La Salle’s revamped roster.

The two teams last met in the semifinals, where the Green Archers eliminated Adamson, 70-55. That history only adds fuel to the rivalry as both squads aim to make a strong first impression in the new season.
