Graduating skipper Leo Aringo was awarded Finals Most Valuable Player as National University clinched a five-peat in UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball.
Leo Aringo bagged the Finals Most Valuable Player honors after powering National University to a five-peat in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball at the Mall of Asia Arena Saturday, May 17.
In front of a record crowd of 14,517 fans, Aringo spearheaded his school’s fight for the championship after going down 0-1 in the championship series against Far Eastern U.

Aringo helped the Bulldogs clinch the first five-peat in men’s volley in the league since 1951 after dominating the Tamaraws, 25-16, 28-26, 25-23, in Game 3.
The NU skipper came alive with another double-double performance in the clincher with his nine points and 10 excellent receptions.
He also keyed the decider in Game 2 as he produced 10 points and 17 excellent receptions.

Aringo, like three-time women’s MVP Bella Belen, is already graduating from his studies from NU.
