The PLDT High Speed Hitters received a timely boost with the return of middle blocker Dell Palomata amid their campaign in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Palomata was present on the sidelines during the High Speed Hitters’ hard-fought five-set victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies, marking her return to the team after a stint overseas.

The 6-foot middle blocker had been seeing action with the Yogya Falcons in the Indonesian women's Proliga.

However, the Falcons were eliminated from the tournament after missing out on a Top 4 finish, ending their campaign with a 0-12 record.

Despite arriving in Manila just recently, Palomata wasted no time rejoining the High Speed Hitters in training.

Head coach Rald Ricafort revealed that the Alas Pilipinas middle blocker was eager to return to action immediately, even thinking she might suit up in their latest match.

"Actually, akala niya palalaruin ko siya today. Hindi ko siya nasabihan na 'di pa siya sasalang pero ganun 'yung dedication nung bata. Kararating lang niya nung March 1. Naka-isang practice palan samin tapos ready na agad siya sumabak," Ricafort said.

While Palomata will need a bit more time to reintegrate into the team’s system, Ricafort said her return will eventually give PLDT additional options off the bench.

"Sabi ko naman, ayun nga, hangga't kaya idahan-dahan ulit yung pag-jell sa system pero definitely, by next week irorotate ko na sila. So 'yun, malaking tulong ulit na may mahuhugot off the bench."

Palomata will have a chance to suit up in the High Speed Hitters’ next match against the Galeries Tower Highrisers on Tuesday, March 10, still at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.
