ZUS Coffee head coach Jerry Yee is focused less on results for now and more on simply getting his team back on track after returning to the bench following a medical scare.

Yee made his comeback on Saturday after missing four games due to a viral heart infection, watching his squad fall in straight sets to PLDT at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.

"We're trying to get back everybody. Pati 'yung game, 'yung pattern—recovering," Yee told reporters. "Maraming bago, so we're trying to incorporate everybody into the rotation kung ano 'yung magwo-work for us."

The veteran tactician admitted that ZUS Coffee is still very much in a rebuilding phase, compounded by key absences that have disrupted continuity early in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Rookie middle blocker AC Miner remains sidelined, while the Thunderbelles are also adjusting without super import Anna DeBeer in the All-Filipino tilt.

"Malaking bagay 'yung mga nawala sa amin na players," Yee said. "Pero 'yan ang line-up natin."

Beyond the roster issues, Yee is also easing his way back into daily routines after being cleared by doctors. He confirmed that his condition did not require further procedures.

"Okay naman since the discharge," he shared. "Buti hindi na kailangan ng procedures. Viral infection pala."

The Thunderbelles, currently at the bottom of the standings with a 1-5 record, look to end their losing skid when they take on the Cignal Super Spikers on Thursday, March 5.
