The Creamline Cool Smashers look to reassert their championship identity as they open their 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign against the PLDT High Speed Hitters on Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.

After an uncharacteristic title-less year, the Cool Smashers enter the new conference with renewed urgency, highlighted by the return of veteran setter Jia De Guzman, whose steady hand and court vision have long been central to the team’s success.

De Guzman’s comeback reunites her with a familiar core led by Alyssa Valdez, Michele Gumabao, Jema Galanza, and Pangs Panaga, completing its championship squad from past years.

The Cool Smashers also welcome new libero Jen Nierva, whose arrival is expected to strengthen the team’s floor defense and ease the playmaking load on De Guzman as Creamline sharpens its all-around execution.

Both teams will be eager to make an early statement and reestablish their place among the league’s elite.
