Brooke Van Sickle’s return to green has felt like home, with the Nxled star drawing comfort from familiar colors as she delivered a strong all-around outing early in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Putting on an Nxled Chameleons jersey brought a familiar feeling for Brooke Van Sickle, reminding her of college days spent wearing green.
That comfort translated on the court, where Van Sickle turned in a strong all-around showing in Nxled’s five-set win over the Farm Fresh Foxies.
The Fil-Hawaiian spiker finished with 20 points and 11 excellent receptions in a 25-23, 13-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-12 victory on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Playtime FilOil Centre in San Juan.
Now settling in with a new team, Van Sickle said the transition has been energizing both on and off the court.
“I’m just very excited. New team, new colors, new year,” Van Sickle told One Sports. “I’m with a good group of women—everyone’s super hardworking, super kind, and I’m just grateful to be part of it.”

A color BVS knows all too well
Van Sickle previously donned the color during her collegiate stints with the University of Oregon and later with the University of Hawaii.
“I guess I can’t get away from the color green ever,” she said with a laugh. “Back at Oregon, we were green. Back in Hawaii, too—green.”

After spending time in the Petro Gazz’s red and white jersey previously, Van Sickle admitted she wasn’t sure how the switch back would feel.
“It was nice to have a little switch-up with red,” she said. “But now we’re back to green. I stayed open-minded, and I think it looks really good.”
With familiarity settling in and confidence building, Van Sickle and the Chameleons will look to carry that momentum into their next outing against the Capital1 Solar Spikers on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
