More than their reunion, Eya Laure and Sisi Rondina savoured their PVL returns after leading the Choco Mucho Flying Titans past the Akari Chargers in the All-Filipino Conference.
After being away from the PVL, Eya Laure and Sisi Rondina are finally back on the taraflex.
Their returns couldn’t have been any better after leading the Choco Mucho Flying Titans past the Akari Chargers, 25-17, 25-23, 25-20, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday, January 31, at the Playtime FilOil Centre in San Juan.
Rondina led the way with 16 points, while Laure added 11 markers to give the Flying Titans a winning start to the PVL's 2026 calendar.
“To be honest, kahit na may mga difficult situations, alam ko kasi na si Ate Sisi magba-bounce back siya,” Laure said during the post-game press conference.
“Hindi siya ‘yung basta-basta magbibigay ng game. Nakaka-miss talaga. Malaking bagay na andiyan ulit siya sa tabi ko, magka-diagonal kami.”
Excited to be back in the PVL
Laure had been away from the league for almost two years after complications following her departure from Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
Meanwhile, Rondina missed Choco Mucho’s On Tour and Reinforced Conference campaigns last year after suiting up for Alas Pilipinas' beach volleyball squad, which ended with a gold medal performance in the SEA Games.
Beyond her on-court reunion with Rondina, Laure shared that the PVL atmosphere itself was something she deeply missed during her time away.
“Yung crowd talaga,” she said. “Iba din talaga kapag maglalaro ka sa PVL. Iba na yung level ngayon, lalo na maraming reinforcements sa ibang team.”

Rondina, meanwhile, pointed to a familiar presence as what she missed the most while she was away from indoor volleyball.
“Ako, na-miss ko si Coach Dante [Alinsunurin],” Rondina quipped. “Eight months akong nakikinig ng English, ngayon may Tagalog na.”
“Nakaka-miss lang din ‘yung guidance niya sa paglalaro namin. Alam ko mahaba ‘yung pasensya niya sa amin, and magta-trabaho kami ng maayos at i-improve namin kung ano ‘yung mga dapat i-improve,” she added.
Laure and Rondina will look to continue their winning ways as Choco Mucho goes up against the Cignal Super Spikers on Thursday, February 5.
