Tin Tiamzon marked her best outing yet for the Cignal Super Spikers during the team's opening victory in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Tin Tiamzon couldn’t have asked for a better start to her 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign with the Cignal Super Spikers.
The Fil-Canadian ace had her best performance yet since returning from retirement after putting up 18 points on 10 attacks, two blocks, and six service aces during the Super Spikers’ straight-sets win over the Galeries Tower Highrisers.
Nearly a year into her comeback, Tiamzon said the motivation behind her performance goes beyond individual numbers.
“Gusto ko lang talaga mag-perform para sa team,” Tiamzon said during the post-game press conference. “Gusto ko ibalik kila coach at sa management ‘yung investment at yung risk na kinuha nila sa akin coming from retirement.”
A return full of learnings
Tiamzon returned to the Philippine volleyball scene in May 2025 after coming out of retirement, signing with Cignal and making her debut during the PVL On Tour.
She added that her first full year back has been a learning process, which has helped shape her approach entering the All-Filipino Conference.
“Mas parang [nadaanan] na ‘yung isang taon ng 2025, and sobrang dami kong natutunan kay coach,” she said. “Gusto ko lang ibalik sa team ‘yung lahat ng investment nila sa akin.”

Despite the strong opener, Tiamzon stressed that she is far from satisfied, pointing to areas she still wants to improve as the conference progresses.
“Madami pa rin akong nakikitang kulang sa sarili ko,” she said. “As a player, you always want to be better than your last performance.”
With Cignal eyeing a podium finish, Tiamzon said complacency has no place in their mindset.
“Hindi ako magiging kampante sa season na ’to,” she added. “Talagang gusto namin makakuha ng medal as a team, and we will do our best to keep getting better, individually and as a team.”
