The Farm Fresh Foxies brace for their toughest challenge yet as they take on the Creamline Cool Smashers in the PVL on Tour quarterfinals.
The Farm Fresh Foxies are embracing the challenge of facing the league’s gold standard as they prepare to go toe-to-toe with the Creamline Cool Smashers in the PVL on Tour quarterfinals on Saturday, August 9 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Fighting their way through the preseason, the Foxies, fresh off their knockout round victory against the Capital1 Solar Spikers, know they’re up against their toughest test yet.
Since joining the league in 2023, Farm Fresh has yet to notch a win against Creamline, adding even more fuel to the fire for Fil-Am setter Alohi Robins-Hardy, who’s eager to finally face the Grand Slam champions.
“I’m super excited, as I’m sure all the girls are,” Robins-Hardy said on One Sports’ Starting Lineup.
“Even last year as a coach, we didn’t get to play them. They have a great group on their side of the court, and we do too. So it’ll be a battle and I’m just super stoked to see how it goes.”
While Creamline boasts a veteran core that has delivered multiple titles behind its system and chemistry, Jolina Dela Cruz is drawing belief from Farm Fresh’s steady development under head coach Alessandro Lodi.
“We know Creamline, they have their system. We have our system naman,” said Dela Cruz.
“I think playing against them, kailangan mag-stick din talaga kami sa system na tinuturo talaga ni coach. Wala naman ding mawawala sa amin eh, kung lalaro kami ng tama, kung susunod kami sa pinapagawa ni coach, and kung magta-trust talaga kami sa bawa't isa.”
The Farm Fresm-Creamline is the last of the quarterfinals in PVL on Tour, with the match set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
