The PLDT High Speed Hitters are going into the PVL on Tour quarterfinals with a spotless 5-0 record in Pool A.
CEBU CITY — PLDT knocks down Galeries Tower, 25-20, 25-14, 25-17, to complete a sweep of its pool play matches and head into the quarterfinals on a roll in the PVL On Tour at the University of San Jose-Recoletos Coliseum here Sunday, July 27.
The High Speed Hitters bucked slow starts in the first and third sets to finish their preliminary matches with a 5-0 record, while also giving local fans a show as the clear crowd favorites.
PLDT overturned a 2-6 deficit in the third, riding the hot hands of wing spiker Kianna Dy, who finished with 12 points.

Still trailing 11-10, Dy keyed a pivotal 6-1 run to snatch the advantage at 16-12 by the second technical timeout of the frame.
The High Speed Hitters' middles also continued to show up led by Mika Reyes, with Fil-Canadian Savi Davison still working on reinserting herself into the lineup since missing out on their first three games of the preseason.

Despite efforts from France Ronquillo and Jean Asis in bringing the listless High Risers back into the match, they skidded into a fifth straight defeat as they came away without a win in their Pool A games heading into the play-ins.
PLDT now awaits the results of the knockout play-ins to know their opponent in the quarters.
Meanwhile, Galeries Tower faces a do-or-die situation against a yet to be determined opponent.
