Justin Brownlee was all over the court on Wednesday.

Tough layups, booming triples, and turnaround jumpers. Name it. He did it all.

Knowing Ginebra’s 15th title was on the line, Brownlee tried to carry the Gin Kings on his broad shoulders in Game 6 before a mammoth crowd of 22,361 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The reigning Best Import battered Bay Area on all fronts with 37 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks.

The resident import wanted to win so much he barely rested. He was subbed out with 38.7 ticks remaining in the third and that was it.

Unfortunately, Ginebra still fell short.

Playing in lieu of injured Andrew Nicholson, Myles Powell had the last laugh as the Dragons hacked out an 87-84 win over Ginebra to force a winner-take-all Game 7.

Although still not at full strength, Powell had a tour de force performance with 29 points on 5-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc. He also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Ginebra had a chance to send the game into overtime, but its play with a little over 5 seconds remaining went futile. Japeth Aguilar, who was 4-of-11 from the field, ended up taking the three-pointer that was off the mark.

Brownlee looked visibly tired from doing almost everything for Ginebra. But he will have plenty of time to recover as Game 7 was moved to Sunday at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

“Sa kahilingan ng mga fans ang Game 7 ay gagawin natin sa Sunday sa Philippine Arena,” said PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.

Expect the amiable Brownlee to turn into a beast again as the Gin Kings gun for their 7th title with Tim Cone in the last seven years.
