The Lacsina legacy in Philippine volleyball grows even stronger as Ize, Iya, and Ishaa Lacsina officially join the Adamson University girls’ volleyball program, following in the footsteps of their older sister, Ivy Lacsina of the Akari Chargers.
The Lacsina name is becoming synonymous with Philippine volleyball.
Ize, Iya, and Ishaa Lacsina—three younger sisters of professional volleyball standout Ivy Lacsina—have officially joined the Adamson University girls’ volleyball program, marking the start of their own competitive journeys while continuing the path blazed by their ate.
From their roots in Angeles City, Pampanga, the younger Lacsinas now take the leap to Manila as student-athletes under a respected UAAP program.
Their move deepens the connection between their family and the Akari brand, which supports both the Adamson girls’ team and the pro club team that Ivy plays for in the PVL.
“Angeles babie to Manila babies. Lagi niyo na lang akong pinapaiyak sa sobrang proud sa inyo,” Ivy wrote in an emotional Instagram story.
“Alam kong kayo ang tunay na yaman ko at ng parents natin. Good luck on your journey and nandito lang si ate para i-guide kayo. I love you, sisters!”
Ivy Lacsina, currently an outside hitter for the Akari Chargers in the Premier Volleyball League, rose to national prominence after her collegiate career with the NU Lady Bulldogs. She helped the Bulldogs capture a long-awaited UAAP championship in 2022 before turning pro.
Now, her three sisters are set to follow in her footsteps—with their own stories to write and battles to fight on the court.
With Ivy already setting the bar high in the pros, Ize, Iya, and Ishaa’s arrival gives Adamson—and the Akari-supported volleyball ecosystem—a new generation of talent bearing the Lacsina name.
