Ali Mubashar was firing on all cylinders on Saturday, March 14.

Such kind of night allowed Mubashar to erupt for 50 points, leading the Terrafirma Dyip to a 111-100 overtime win against Converge in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.

Mubashar also turned in a whopping 25 rebounds and three blocks, as the Dyip raced to a surprising 2-0 lead early in the mid-season tournament.

All in all, Mubashar had 39 points in the second half and OT.

But Mubashar shied away from the credit, saying nothing would have been possible without the his teammates’ and coaches.

“Wanna give a shoutout to my teammates. First half, I was fasting I couldn’t really breathe. I was going up and down trying to do my best,” he said.

“But if it wasn’t for my teammates that were helping me carry it, trusting me to keep performing and just keep doing what I can do, nothing will be possible without those guys.”

For Mubashar himself, this explosive performance signals the dawn of a new era at Terrafirma.

“Terrafirma is a new dawn, new day. You better come to the game. Come support us, come show love. We going out hard. We playing hard. We playing together. It’s a new day,” he said after the match at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
