Ali Mubashar has Terrafirma buzzing in the opening week of the PBA 50 Commissioner's Cup, with his 50 points against Converge carrying the Dyip to a promising 2-0 start.
Ali Mubashar is the main story through the first week of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
This as the Terrafirma import followed up his 27-point debut with a whopping 50-piece as the Dyip raced off to a 2-0 start by beating Converge on Saturday.

Mubashar did this while fasting as he is observing Ramadan, and against the FiberXers perceived as a title contender in this mid-season tournament.
On that note, here’s a list or recent high-scoring performances in the PBA to see where Mubashar stacks up.
George King (Blackwater)
Mubashar’s 50 points became the highest output by any import in the PBA since George King scored 64 points in the Governors’ Cup in 2024.
Though the Bossing were already out of playoff contention then, King made sure to exit with a bang as he led Blackwater to victory over Rain or Shine.
Myles Powell and Andrew Nicholson (Bay Area Dragons)
Guest team Bay Area Dragons imposed quite the presence in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup in 2022.
That’s mainly because of prolific imports Myles Powerll and Andrew Nicholson, who took turns dazzling PBA fans with their high-scoring exploits.
Powell put up 50 points in a dominant 120-87 win over Rain or Shine, while Nicholson scored the same albeit in a 92-89 loss to Meralco.
Lester Prosper (Terrafirma)
Lester Prosper was the first Terrafirma import to score 50 points during a 124-114 overtime win over NLEX in 2022.
Jalen Hudson (TNT)
While his time in the PBA was relatively short and was eventually replaced by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson in the TNT lineup, Jalen Hudson made sure to make his mark.
He dropped 56 points for TNT in February 2023, leading the Tropang Giga to a 128-122 TNT win over Converge in the Governors’ Cup.
Jordan Williams (Terrafirma) and Troy Williams (Blackwater)
Jordan Williams and Troy Williams put on a show in their Governors’ Cup duel also in February 2023.
Williams fired 57 points as his Terrafirma edged Blackwater, 119-106 in the Governors’ Cup.
Blackwater’s own Williams had 55 points in a losing cause.
