Don Trollano will be a game-time decision for San Miguel when the Beermen square off against Magnolia in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Montalban Friday, Nov. 7.

Trollano is nursing back spasms that forced him to skip San Miguel’s match against Converge four days ago.

He will be donning his jersey as SMB targets a fourth straight win against the second-running Hotshots (4-1), but head coach Leo Austria will be waiting for his clearance to play from the team's physical therapist before the start of the match.

“He will suit up tomorrow, and I’ll wait for the go-signal of our PT after the warm-up,” Austria told One Sports Thursday, Nov. 6.

Without Trollano, hailed Mr. Quality Minutes by the PBA Press Corps last month, the Beermen still managed to outplay the FiberXers, 96-90, behind June Mar Fajardo and Juami Tiongson.

Aside from Trollano, Jericho Cruz is also dealing with a ruptured Baker's cyst he sustained in the All-Filipino conference last season.

On top of that, Cruz was also suffering from colds but had to play during the team's weekend game in Antipolo.

“Hindi dapat [ako maglalaro,] kaso wala din si Don. Sabi ko kay coach, ready lang ako. 'Pag ipinasok mo ako, I'll give my 100 percent as always [at] tingnan natin kung anong mangyayari. Maganda naman 'yong pinakita ko,” said Cruz, who wound up with six points, two rebounds and a steal against the FiberXers.

San Miguel clashes with Magnolia in the 7:30 p.m. main game.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.

He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
