Brgy. Ginebra looks to be peaking at the right time, with the Gin Kings beating NorthPort Sunday at the Big Dome, 103-93.
The win was the third straight for the Gin Kings, pushing the champs to 7-3 and right in the mix for a twice-to-beat advantage in the Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals.

Import Tony Bishop was the high man for Brgy. Ginebra, posting a monster line of 26 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, five steals, and two blocks.
Five locals joined in on the double-digit fun for the champs, lead by 16 each from Jamie Malonzo and Christian Standhardinger. Japeth Aguilar had 15, while Maverick Ahanmisi (13 points) and Stanley Pringle (10 points) took care of the backcourt production.
For good measure, former MVP Scottie Thompson scattered seven points, seven rebounde, and 10 assists.
Despite the loss, NorthPort will still make the playoffs. But the Batang Pier's 6-5 record will not be enough for a top-four finish and will instead face a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.
