Alas Pilipinas Men superstar Bryan Bagunas will soon make his mark in Japan once again after signing with the Osaka Bluteon for the 2025-2026 SV.League season.
Bagunas will be one of four imports for the Japanese squad, alongside France’s Antoine Brizard, Cuba’s Miguel Angel Lopez Castro, and China’s Peng Shikun.
There, Bagunas will be teammates with Japan men’s volleyball team stars Yuji Nishida, Tomohiro Yamamoto, Akihiro Yamauchi, and Kunihiro Shimizu.
"I’m truly honored to be part of Osaka Bluteon. I’ve always admire the club’s strong culture and vision, and I’ll do my best to support the team in every way to achieve our goals," Bagunas said in the team's post.
The former NU Bulldogs standout has been making great strides in his recovery after suffering a left knee injury during the 2024 Southeast Asia Volleyball League.
Bagunas is expected to play a vital role in Alas Pilipinas’ campaign in the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship, which will be held in Manila in September.
