After falling short of the podium in the opening leg, Alas Pilipinas Men look to bounce back with a stronger showing as they open their campaign in the second leg of the 2025 SEA V.League against host Indonesia at the Jakarta International Velodrome on Wednesday, July 16.

The men’s national team finished fourth in Leg 1 held in Candon, Ilocos Sur, capping their run with a tough 19-25, 17-25, 17-25 defeat at the hands of Indonesia—the very same team they will face in the opening salvo of Leg 2.

Despite a chance at gold entering the final day, Alas Men fell short when it mattered most. This time, they aim to rewrite the script and start strong against the silver medalists on their home soil.

Leading the charge is rising star Leo Ordiales, who was named Best Opposite Spiker in the previous leg after scoring a total of 64 points in the regional tournament.

He will be joined by Buds Buddin, who contributed six points and six digs, and Jade Disquitado, the hero in their win over Cambodia.
