As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

After 13 years, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and sporting brand Under Armour have officially parted ways on Friday, November 14 (PH time).

The move allows Curry Brand—the label behind his signature sneakers and apparel—to operate independently, stepping fully into the spotlight as its own force.

However, Under Armour is still expected to release the Curry 13 sneakers in February 2026, but will be the final pair produced in their collaboration.

“Under Armour believed in me early in my career and gave me the space to build something much bigger and more impactful than a shoe. I’ll always be grateful for that,” Curry said in a statement.

The four-time champion’s path with Under Armour began in 2013, when he left sporting apparel giant Nike for a company that was then a modest player in the basketball footwear market.

Seven years later, the two-time MVP launched the Curry Brand with his long-time retail partner, marking a milestone that cemented his influence both on and off the court.

“What Curry Brand stands for, what I stand for, and my commitment to that mission will never change,” Curry added.

“It’s only growing stronger. I’m excited for a future focused on aggressive growth, with a continued commitment to keep showing up for the next generation,” he added.

The split allows Curry to be a 'sneaker free agent', meaning he can explore new brand partnerships with giants Adidas, Puma, or New Balance—or even return to Nike—while continuing to grow his independent label.

Now into his 17th NBA season, the 37-year-old is averaging 27.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists for the 7-6 Golden State Warriors.
