The Houston Rockets mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to score a bounce back win at the expense of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Kevin Durant emerged victorious in a scoring contest with Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Houston Rockets outlasted the Milwaukee Bucks, 122-115, at the Fiserv Forum in Wisconsin on Monday (PH time).
Durant helped rally the Rockets to victory, who were trailing for most of the game until the fourth quarter when they mounted a comeback, outscoring the Bucks 22-7 in the last 4:33 of regulation.
The Rockets played catch up starting the second quarter, and trailed by as many as 14 points.
Jabari Smith Jr. drilled a three-pointer with 2:28 left to give Houston its first lead since the first quarter, 113-111, off of a Durant assist.
Durant then broke a deadlock with a pull-up jump shot at the 1:42 mark to pull the Rockets ahead for good, 115-113. Alperen Sengun then provided the insurance baskets for a bulk of the final 9-2 finish to seal the match.
Durant finished with 31 points, three rebounds, and seven assists while Antetokounmpo, who tied the match at 113-all late, had 37 markers, eight boards, and three dimes for the Bucks.
Sengun added 23 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists for the Rockets who are now at 6-3.
Ryan Rollins was the next leading scorer for the Bucks with 19 markers as Milwaukee dropped to 6-4.
