From Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s latest 50-point outburst to Caris LeVert’s heroics, the seven-game NBA Tuesday also saw the Golden State Warriors rising all the way to the sixth spot in the Western Conference.


WARRIORS' ASCENSION CONTINUES; SGA GOES FOR 50-BURGER 

  • Golden State Warriors (33-28) def. Charlotte Hornets (14-46), 119-101: Jimmy Butler returned as the Warriors regained their winning ways and jumped to the sixth spot in the West.

  • OKC Thunder (50-11) def. Houston Rockets (37-24), 137-128: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander uncorked 51 markers, his fourth career 50-point game, to give the Thunder their 50th win of the season after dismissing the shorthanded Rockets.

  • Portland Trail Blazers (28-34) def. Philadelphia 76ers (21-39), 119-102: Anfernee Simons torched the Sixers with a game-high 34 points and six threes to guide the Trail Blazers to a fifth win in their last six games


LEVERT WINS IT FOR HAWKS, ADEBAYO MAKES HEAT MILESTONE

  • Atlanta Hawks (28-33) def. Memphis Grizzlies (38-23), 132-130: In a cardiac finish, Dyson Daniels' clutch steal paved the way for a Caris LeVert game-winner in a wild Hawks escape against the Grizzlies. 

  • Miami Heat (28-31) def. Washington Wizards (11-48), 106-90: Bam Adebayo’s historic outing led to a strong Heat rebound at home after pummeling the lowly Wizards. 

  • Move Over, Rony: Adebayo finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds to surpass Rony Seikaly as Miami’s all-time franchise leader in double-doubles with 222 and counting. 
  • Sacramento Kings (32-28) def. Dallas Mavericks (32-29), 122-98: Zach LaVine and the Kings capitalized on Kyrie Irving's early exit from a knee injury to get their fourth straight win.

  • Detroit Pistons (34-27) def. Utah Jazz (15-45), 134-106: Cade Cunningham dropped 29 points, nine assists, and four steals as the Pistons dominated the Jazz for their 10th win in the last 12 games.
