Looks like Marck Espejo was feeling pretty sentimental about his last days in South Korea.

A day ago, the newly-minted Korean V-League champion shared on social media how he was enjoying his "last few days in Korea" while in Seoul.

By Friday, the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos confirmed they have released Espejo, Pakistani opposite Murad Khan, and Russian opposite spiker Maxim Zhigalov after their championship-winning season.

The team's social media account thanked the three for their performance and expressed support for their future endeavors.

In a separate video message, Espejo expressed his gratitude to the fans.

"Thank you so much for supporting us. You guys are truly amazing. Keep supporting the Jumbos until next season and more seasons to come," he said as he hugged the trophy.

"I'm just gonna enjoy my free days to explore South Korea, explore Seoul again before going back to the Philippines and play for my club and our national team."

Espejo made history with MJ Phillips as the first Filipino athletes to be drafted in the Korean V-League.

He now joins a select club along with Celine Domingo, Jaja Santiago, Jia de Guzman, and Bryan Bagunas, who have won titles abroad.

Espejo and Bagunas though could very well encounter each other in the Philippines. Marck is expected to join the King Crunchers soon in the Spikers' Turf, while Bryan has already suited up for the Cignal HD Spikers.

The two powerhouse squads will be clashing this Sunday.

Espejo and Bagunas are also expected to return to the Philippine men's national volleyball team, which secured a spot in the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship due to hosting rights.
