Basketball Australia released the Boomers lineup for the second window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, where they will take on Guam and Gilas Pilipinas.
Australia is fielding in three newbies for the second window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers later this month.
The Boomers tapped Jacob Holt, Tanner Krebs, and Kody Stattmann for the two road games against Guam (February 26) and Gilas Pilipinas (March 1).
Gilas Pilipinas will host the Boomers in Manila for the first time since the infamous brawl at the Philippine Arena in July 2018.
The match is set at 7:30 pm at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Meanwhile, only two are retained from Australia’s lineup in its conquest of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 in Saudi Arabia in Reyne Smith and Jack White.
Australia drubbed the Philippines, 84-60 in the quarterfinals of the said tournament.
But that doesn’t mean the Boomers are coming in easy.
Veteran Mitch Creek returned to the lineup for the first time since the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China. Other seasoned cagers suiting up for the world No. 6 squad are Sam Froling, Isaac White,Tom Wilson, and Nick Kay.
Completing the 12-man team are David Okwera—who last rocked the Boomer threads in the 2025 Asia Cup Qualifiers, and Elijah Pepper—who has been part of the lineup at the start of the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers.
Australia is currently tied with the Philippines atop Group B with a 2-0 mark.
