The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas officially added Juan Gomez de Liaño, and Quentin Millora-Brown to the fold, followed by RJ Abarrientos, Ange Kouame, and Troy Rosario.

The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 team of Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, Scottie Thompson, Jamie Malonzo, June Mar Fajardo, Cjay Perez, Dwight Ramos, Japeth Aguilar, Kevin Quiambao, Justin Brownlee, Carl Tamayo, and AJ Edu are also all back.

Gilas star center Kai Sotto is still also included in the pool, despite being on the mend for the ACL injury he suffered in January.

Gilas Pilipinas will be on the road to start the Asian Qualifiers, taking on Guam on November 28.

The Philippines will then host Guam on December 1 at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Gilas finished with a 6-4 record in the previous World Cup qualifiers, which was good for third in Group E. The Philippine qualified as co-host.

In the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, Gilas had a 7-5 record and qualified as the best fourth place team in the combined groups.
