Quentin Millora-Brown is now eligible to join Gilas Pilipinas as a local, as confirmed by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
Help could be on the way for Gilas Pilipinas.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) confirmed Friday night that Quentin Millora-Brown is indeed a local, making him more than eligible to suit up for the national team.
This came after QMB was initially tagged as a naturalized player, but the former UP Fighting Maroons said previously that his camp was to appeal the ruling with FIBA.

“We’re pleased with the update from FIBA because a player of his [QMB} size and skill can make a positive impact for Gilas Pilipinas Men,” said SBP President Al Panlilio.
Millora-Brown burst onto the local basketball scene as a one-and-done big man for UP last year.
In Season 87, QMB helped the Fighting Maroons to the title, even sinking two crucial free throws late in Game 3 against La Salle to seal the victory.
Millora-Brown is currently signed to the Macau Black Bears and was on the floor during the FIBA Asia Cup send-off game against Gilas Pilipinas last July 28.
QMB’s local status should bode well with Gilas, as the Philippines can parade a youthful frontline that includes him, AJ Edu, and Kai Sotto.
