Aurora Gaming completed a gutsy comeback over Singapore’s Selangor Red Giants to become the first team to reach the M7 World Championship Grand Finals.

That’s all that stands between Aurora Gaming PH and the M7 World Championship crown after coming from behind to outlast the Selangor Red Giants, 3-2, to book their place in the Grand Finals on Thursday, January 22.
With the win, RORA not only punched their ticket to the championship round but also became the first team to conquer the Malaysian powerhouse in the tournament.
Gold Laner Jan ‘Domengkite’ Delmundo pulled the strings on Claude, posting a 5/2/15 KDA and giving RORA the early head start.
Selangor answered back in Game 2, and with momentum swinging their way, the Singapore-based squad took the next salvo.
Needing a win to stay alive, EXP Laner Edward Dapadap put up a solid performance using Yu Zhong behind a 1/4/7 KDA to force a decider.
In Game 5, Aurora Gaming PH came out swinging, claiming five of the first six kills before powering their way to a thrilling comeback victory.
RORA’s next hurdle has yet to be determined, but the prospect of an all-Filipino championship duel with Team Liquid PH still looms.

Selangor’s loss pushed them into the lower bracket final, leaving them to wait and see who stands in their way.
Earlier, TLPH lived to fight another day after knocking out ONIC Indonesia to arrange a lower bracket quarterfinal clash with Aurora Türkiye.
