For Team Liquid PH, elimination was not an option—and they made sure of it.

The three-time MPL Philippines champs shrugged off a mid-game wobble before dispatching ONIC Indonesia, 3-1, to advance to the lower bracket quarterfinals of the M7 World Championship on Thursday, January 22.

After a narrow 2-1 loss to Aurora Gaming PH, Team Liquid PH bounced back in style with a strong performance in front of Filipino fans cheering in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Team Liquid PH looked poised to sweep ONIC Indonesia after taking the first two games, but Sanz stole the show in Game 3 with Lunox, posting a flawless 5-0-14 stat line.

Needing a response, TLPH delivered a methodical performance in Game 4 to finally close out ONIC ID and booked another best-of-five KO showdown against Aurora Turkiye.

Even more crucially, the “Golden Road” dream of TLPH remains alive as the other lower bracket quarterfinals pit Alter Ego against Team Spirit.

Later at 8:00 p.m. (PH Time), Aurora Gaming PH will aim to punch their ticket into the championship round when they face Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants in the upper bracket finals.
